The Farm-to-Consumer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization created to expand public awareness about sustainably-farmed food, increase choices and access to local sources, and support small family farms growing and raising these foods. We do this through educational and charitable activities which educate consumers on how to obtain food directly from farmers; teaching farmers how to produce the highest quality food, proper land stewardship, and educating the general public about the importance of sustainable farming and its relationship to the health of our communities.

Our Foundation is growing and we are seeking a full-time Educator for our Biological Farming Education Program.  This is a HOME OFFICE-BASED and TRAVEL-oriented position.  We are seeking someone who is very familiar with local nutrient-dense food and forage production and who is as dedicated to our mission as we are.

To qualify, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in education is preferred.

Experience: • Some first-hand experience in farming • Experience in educating farmers and consumers about the importance of nutrient-dense food and its relation to human health would be beneficial • Extensive experience with all aspects of Microsoft Office, including creating PowerPoint Presentations, and managing webinars • Comfortable and experienced in speaking one-on-one and in front of large groups.

Other Requirements: Ability to interact and communicate effectively and knowledgeably with a board, committee members, farmers, consumers and supporters of our programs • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills related to the position • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively • Ability to meet frequent deadlines.
